Picture yourself in the old town of one most historic areas in Spain. The town of Jativa (written Xativa in Valenciano….) is 25 kilometers from the beach of Gandia, as the crow’s flies. It boasts two castles, 1000 fonts, a national monument and a grand cathedral. You can reach it on the inland motorway from Alicante to Valencia. The town is situated in a wide and fertile valley, protected by mountains and with a mild climate. With 27.000 inhabitants there are enough people to sustain a flourishing business, with all kind of shops and supermarkets. Around the town there are a dozen or more villages with fresh water for swimming and fishing. There are also miles of country tracks for walking and for people seeking adventure there is rock climbing, white water rafting and quad bikes. |
